| Trestles Trestles is a world famous surf spot. Some consider it the best surf break in Southern California. Trestles is composed of three point breaks: Uppers, Lowers, and Churches (sometimes just called Church). Lower Trestles is considered the best of these breaks, and boasts a long, well-balanced right and a fast, hollow left. Churches and Uppers are both mostly rights which don't connect to the long rides as much as Lowers, except on perhaps rare occasions. Lowers and Churches break best on a south or south-west swell. Uppers is known to handle a north better than the others. Because of their reputation as such a good surf spot, and due to their point-break nature, these surf spots boast some of the most dense crowds of any surf spot. Category: beach surf
