Lombard, MT

The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad line from Chicago followed Sixteenmile Creek down to the Missouri River, where it crossed over the Northern Pacific line and the river. The river is flowing north towards Great Falls while the CMSP&P line runs down the west bank heading for Butte and Seattle. The railroad was abandoned here during March 1980. The Northern Pacific line heads north along the east bank through Helena or south towards Livingston, and is now operated by Montana Rail Link.
