Fallingwater is a house designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935 for the family of Pittsburgh department store owner Edgar J. Kaufmann. Dramatically cantilevered over a waterfall, the house stands as one of Wright's greatest masterpieces both for its dynamism and for its integration with the striking natural surroundings.

The house became a museum in 1964 and currently hosts more than 120,000 visitors each year.

Another famous Wright house, Kentuck Knob, is just 15 minutes away (4 miles to the southwest).
