The Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s Deonar slaughter house, the target of all animal rights activists, has been approved by the United Arab Emirates for exporting mutton to Dubai, thus making Mumbai the first city in the country whose municipal abattoir has received recognition in the international meat trade.

The largest slaughterhouse in India and also in Asia.

Deonar Abattoir is the Service Abattoir of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai located on the north of Govandi Railway Station of C.S.T. Mankhurd Harbour Line of Central Railway at a distance of about 20 K.M. from main city. On the guidelines suggested by F.A.O. Slaughter House Expert Mr. N. E. Wernberg the M/s. W. J. Powel, Australia has executed the Slaughter House Construction work with collaboration of M/s Steel Plant Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, as their counterpart in India. The construction work was started in October 1967 and completed in 1971.

  • Here they slaughter Gau-Mata. Gau-Mata ki Jai. Arrrrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Gau-Mata Gau-Seva Trust. Ahhhhh...... feel good after a refreshing drink of bovine urine (go-mutra) and patting some bovine excrement on my face.
