The station building in Kerava was built in 1878. t was typical of that period for station buildings to be modelled on the Italian villa, with its distinctive tower, the campanile. A Swiss influence can also be discerned in the building, most specifically in the wood carvings on the windows, the railings and the eaves. The accentuated eaves and round windows show the influence of the Neo-renaissance. All these features can be seen at Kerava railway station, whose architect was Knut Nylander.
