  • Extreamly beatiful surroundings. Natural beaches in vicinity of 10-20 kms. Absulatlty no crowd on beaches (if you are lucky, you will find a person). Niwara is the best place in Shriwardhan to stay. Food is excellent . Hospitality of the owners is superb. Totaly worth the cost.

  • Shriwardhan - If you are a Maharashtrian and have learnt the History of Maratha Empire, then you probably know about this place a bit. It is the birth place of the 1st Peshawa of Maratha Empire, Balaji Vishwanath Bhat. Though the place is not very much developed in terms of Education, Industry etc., it's the natural beauty, the very own Konkan-ness of the place that attracts many visitors. It being a nice beach location, is liked by all kinds of people, young or old alike. People from the busy cities like Mumbai / Pune come here to relax. No air-pollution, no sound pollution, the place is as clear as it may get. It used to be connected with a Boat-service to Mumbai long time back, discontinued now. But it is well connected by the roadways to other parts of the state.
