Mahalaxmi Apts was constructed in 1986. It is located in one of the best locations in Dombivli. We have been residing here since a long time. Terrace remains closed because of some pipe breaking kid. There is one gawthi Gurudaya wada pav wala in front of Mahalaxmi. He is very khadus. We have a very rich culture here and everyone loves each other. There are absolutely no disputes in Mahalaxmi.
This is the same building where Bhopu, Polli, Tilla, Dago, Gantya, Burrya, Dasku, Patil brothers(Summa and Ammya), Chabdya, Kedmya, Nice gavin, Buggi, Jhandu, Kasa, Devika, Megha, Kanjya, Fatya, Pop show, Dhamecha, Omkar n Yadd-dhoot(i mean Avadhoot), Babloo, Harshal n Yamu, Dudhil, Happy diwali, Rangachari, Lallu lal, Papya bhau, Ankur, Sonu, Sau, Nannu, Darpan stud, Bala n Baban, Yogesh, Manness, Mallika, Thakre, etc. have played together since childhood. If your name is missed then kindly excuse.
This building is extremely strong and u can literally pull out nails from the wall with ur bare hands. Strong construction is the foundation of this magnificent building.
The building had a wide variety of watchmen like Sadashiv Shirsath, Airindia reporting, Tambakhu watchman, Nepali, and current khadus dadhi watchman(2008). All were good and helpful.
We have so many contacts, ek phone phiravla ki kaam hota yevdhi aamchi vatt aahe. We play cricket behind the building with plastic ball. Anand cyclewala is our friend. But we dont have parking space. Now all are leaving our building and going to mumbai side to stay. This fills the building with not so interesting new people. We use Tatasky to watch Tv. Mhaskar lives in front of us and we have a few people in our society who know him personally. Aamchi khup wat aahe.
We celebrate Ganpati festival in our houses. During Nav ratri we come together and have fun watching...Diwali used to be fantastic festival. We used to fire fancy items like Zigma zoom, blue comet, titanic, etc. from our terrace. But now no fun because of patrewadi. There used to live one Hogan besides our building in chambhar wadi, but now a new building is constructed in it's place. Kulkarni sits there in his shop. His son Omkar is our friend.
We play cricket, Kore PS2 and jayesh PS2, badminton, goti, bhawre, cycle tyre, patang, bhingri, Media and Sega video games, computer games, lapa chupi, daba ispice, son sakhli, etc. Sometimes we go to water kingdom too. Its so much fun. We have 3 addas to sit: one is our gate, 2nd is badam zhad, 3rd is shiv sadan. You also come to sit with us. We play holi too. Gumaste kaka and Sambhus kaka are very friendly with us. Sometimes dogs sleep in our wing but we never mind it. Afterall they are also living beings na. We do not believe in doing bell kissa anymore. It is permanently banned now. When we get hungry, we go to Aji Misal(moon moon misal). It is very tasty. Even Aalu's pani puri and bhel is tasty in front of ambika nagar.
We use sify, tataindicom, fabnet, fortune net and bsnl internet connections. We go to malls together for shopping. Its a lot of fun. Some people ask us a lot of questions in our building, but we never mind giving answers to all the questions. There are 6 trees near our building: one is badam zhad, 2nd is coconut tree in hogan wadi, 3rd is mango tree on the back side, 4th is parrot tree in bhave hall, 5th is one big tree in front of sonu cycle mart and 6th tree was in bramhe bungalow, but i think its uprooted now. There is one more zambhul tree near usha apartment and we eat a lot of zambhul from there. Dont give zambhul to ankur for washing, otherwise all good ones will be gayab when it reaches you. Ankur is our electricity man. Diwali is our most loved festival. We friends never fight with each other. We go to bhagshala ground and railway ground for playing cricket. Cricket was our most played game till kaka came and spoilt it, but its ok! Now we only play in shiv sadan or else watch on Tv. We celebrated cricket world cup together, it was fun. We hold society meetings on terrace. Everyone comes for the meeting. There is a lot of load shedding in Dombivli. We colour our building once in 4 to 5 years. Nimbalkar is very good at colouring work. We go and watch dahi handi many times. We play chess and carrom also. Sometimes we even play cards and business game of dice. We go for gym together and also for swimming. Some of us are good at riding bikes too. Sometimes we go to RT for good purposes of eating food. Haither is also a well known shop in our locality. Om hair dresser cuts our hair and Ganesh medical gives us medicine when we get ill. On two sides of our building there are roads while on the other two sides, there are buildings.
We have reputed doctors like Pimputkar and NaikDesai near our society. We have Gandhi garden at 2 minutes distance from our building. There is Bhave Hall and municipality school besides our building. The railway station is at 3 minutes walking distance. More department stores is the nearest shopping mall here. The Gopi theatre is a good theatre to watch movies and it takes 10 minutes to reach there. We many times go and eat appam at mahalaxmi's shop. There one anna makes high quality appam and dosa; its tasty n yummy! You also try it, but dont go to Gurudaya because he wont give you much chatni and will shout at you if u ask for more. When dhamecha left the building, our water problems got solved. Now we have ample water in our sintex tank in every flat. So thats all i can say about our wonderful building. i think i have described our building very well. Now its upto you to check it out!
