    Foundation Stone of this link road was laid by Governor Sindh Dr. Isharat ul Ibad Khan on 12 August 2005. Cutting of hill started on 11th January 2007. Till date 80% of work has been completed and it will be operational till June 2008. This work is carrying out by National Highway Authority.

    After completion of this link road 2.3 million people of Orangi & Qasba got another way to travel through city. It will also serve as a shortcut route to the people of North Karachi, North Nazimabad & adjacent areas to reach SITE area. About 5.0 million people got relief with this new link road.
