Junction of Shafer Trail and White Rim Trail

Inverted T intersection. Coming from the west (left) is Shafer Trail, which descends the Shafer Switchbacks along the way. Coming from the east (right) is the White Rim Trail. Coming from the north is the dirt road that starts at the Potash boat ramp. Whether or not the name "Shafer Trail" applies to any part of that "northern" road is open to debate, as there seems to be no official definition of Shafer Trail. A further complication: the combination of Shafer Trail and the road to the north has the official name of "San Juan County Road 142" (per communication with the county).
