In better days, Alice Arm was a booming silver mining town during the 1920's and 30's. When the price for silver crashed, the mine at Alice Arm eventually had to close down.
The buildings, the railway bed and many of the old mine shafts are still there. There is a bed-and-breakfast there - or at least it was a couple of years ago! Alice Arm also has a large deserted mansion, but you will have to search for it, as it is very hard to find. The fishing is great, the scenery is spectacular, and your bed-and-breakfast will supply you with oil lamps to read by at night. All in all, Alice Arm makes for a great ghost town adventure.
