The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is a tandem two-seat, twin-engine, all-weather, long-range supersonic jet interceptor and fighter-bomber originally developed for the United States Navy by McDonnell Aircraft.
Displayed in the Vietnam War-era markings of 12th Tactical Fighter Wing and wearing serial number 64-0813, S/N 64-0817 served with various frontline USAF units before being assigned to the 3246th Test Wing, Armament Development & Test Center out of Eglin Air Force Base. Making its last flight on May 5th, 1986, the aircraft was relocated to the Air Force Armament museum in July 1986.
