Zubair, I would like to modify your information that during exile of 14 years Lord Ram spent 12 years at chitrakoot.Chitrakoot is a place to visit either in Rain or in winter. During summers the temperature soars and move above 45 degree celcius.

A careful reading of valmiki Ramayan shows that Ram-Laxman-Seeta stayed at Chitrakoot until such time as Bharat and all others from Ayodhya visited them and when ram sent Bharat back, rejecting his request to return to Ayodhya and be the king. Very shortly after they returned, Ram left Chitrakoot. His stay at Chitrakoot was perhaps for two to three months only. As his vanavas had started in the month of Chaitra he must have left before onset of monsoon. Reference to the last Sarga of Ayodhyakanda will make this clear.
