Rio Hato Air Force Base, in the Panamanian province of Coclé, was built by the United States and it provided support for air operations during World War II. It has not functioned as a working airfield for many years. Both Torrijos and Noriega used the base for Panamanian military operations and both Generals also maintained residences here.
The area southwest and adjacent to the Air Base is now the location of the Decameron Hotel.
