  • @Janardan There are only 2 famous Kheds -- one which you are currently seeing in Ratnagiri district -- another in Pune district which has been renamed as Rajguru-nagar. I presume there will be lot more villages named Khed all over Maharashtra

  • Hello.. I'm Nilesh, from Mumbai-Kalachowki(currently in California, USA)... I'm a proper mumbaity(from last 28yrs)... Khed is my mom's native place.. my native place is-Dapoli/Bondivali.... My Mamas' and Masis, are staying in Khed-JadyalWadi @ Shivaji Nagar(Elder Mama-Sunil More & Family).... At schooltime, I have been visiting Khed every vacation.... and it was such a beatiful time. Now, after started working, visit less, but whenever get time or get holiday, I surely visit Khed.. I love the people around...simply, catch a train from Dadar, Kurla or Thana, and reach Khed within 4-5 hrs time(thanks to Konkan Railway)... As far as my experience is concerned, I love Khed city a lot... great greenary around, nice scenaries in the morning when I get up, and one most important part I would like to share is that- Whenever I visit Khed city, I visit the JagBudy River.... Well, currently here in US(for official work)... and was missing some old things like fun in Mumbai and Khed.... So thought of researching over the net on Khed, Ratnagiri and found this feedback forums... Khed baddal bolaicha zala tar khup kahi ahe... Pan ata nai, nantar kadhi tari... Thank you Khalil.   • this is our native place it is the best place where one can spend time with family and nature .this is the place which has the famous river for death the jagbudy in this village we spend a lot of our vacation time and get freshed up for the coming year i love this place the most
