The West Cape Wind Farm is located at the westernmost edge of Prince Edward Island, Canada, Commissioned in 2007 (11 turbines) and 2009 (44 turbines), it consists of 55 Vestas V80/1800 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 99 MW. On average, the farm generates about 35 percent capacity in the run of the year, supplying the City of Summerside as well as other local consumers.
