Shree Krishna Theatre

Earlier it used to be Sri Laxmi Theatre. Thrice daily, the songs from movie "Jai Santoshi maa" were played on loud speaker at the begning of the shows. I guess, that movie was the first block-buster of the theatre. Later the devotional songs gave away to Amitabh's mega "Muqaddar Ka Sikandar". This movie hall carries a special place in my memories... Long before that their use to be Dr. Rajkumar Movies. They use to come in Bullock Cart for announcement. For the movies like Bhakta Kumbar , Srinivas Kalyan they use to make statues using clay.
There use to be shop next to Laxmi Talkies. They use to sell salted peanuts for 10ps. It was so nice to go to movie those days. Later another theater called Panduranga Talkies came up in Nekar Oni.

I do not know people remember him or not but it is interesting to share. There use to be Hotel next to Laxmi talkies owned by Nityanand. His brother use to sit in this Hotel. He was wrestler. He was murdered at Mullur Ghat Along with his Girlfriend. I guess it was in Mid 1970s. He was real macho man. His dog also died with him.
