Ram Temple is beside my grandfather house. My grandfather had built this corner house in kulgana all by himself. He also had barn (kottige) built by himself.
Ram temple is the first bus stop when you are travelling from Nanjungud. Private bus services like "General","Maruti", dominated the route till kaballi.

Every year,an event called Ram-pattabhishekha takes place in the month of Jan/Feb and kudaravelam in the month of April. A lot of kulganite's who migrated to larger surrounding towns participate in these events. During these events they play yakshagana about Mahabharata or Ramayana all throughout the night.

There is a slight change in the comment mentioned above. Ramotsava or Pattabhisheka takes place in the month of April or May and Kudaravelam takes place in Jan. during Ramotsave they also play okali(holi) by singing songs and dancing in the streets of Kulganam. The name of the diety is Jala vasudeva swamy.

Actually another correction. It's Jalavaasudeva temple. Not a Ram temple. However Ramotsvam and other events are conducted at temple premises. Our grand father,Late Shri Nitre Sitarama Iyengar built our ancestral home which is to the south of the temple. Currently Chitanya verdhini sabha, an association of young energetic kulganites plan and conduct the religious events at temple premises.
