Puthucode is a small village and panchayat in Palakkad district of Kerala state, south India. It is under Alathur Taluk in Palakkad district of Kerala state, India.It has a newly built mosque in the centre of surrounding lined houses ((Theruvu)), essentially where ((Mappilla’s)) stay in all different directions. Common family names include, Veshakkaran, Pananghadam, Meethalappa, Panchuvatty, Thekkekaaran, Thoongan, Chenaakkar, Anthoottapppa, Alli and Maidaakkar etc I would update the history of Puthucode and you may contribute with any available feedback from old people and may add the tag as required.

Puthucode Navarathri festival is a grand celebration for 9 days. Thousands from not only from Puthucode and adjacent places used to throng during all the 9 days of the festival. Despite many changes took place, this festival still celebrated with utmost fervor and always remains a inspiration for communal harmony. During my younger days, this was one of the festivals which we never miss. Mass feasts were an added attraction and we occasionally go and enjoy the food. Puthucode gramam has groomed many illustrious people and they hold very responsible positions all over the world and whats heartening is still they come and join the Navarathri celebrations.
