Ardgillan Demesne covers 200 acres of parkland which consists of woodland, meadows and gardens. The park is dominated by "Ardgillan Castle" (more of a large country house than a castle). The castle was built in 1738 by Robert Taylor and it overlooks the Irish Sea. The park has been maintained by Fingal County Council since 1985.
