It began as Crestwood Plaza, a strip mall with an upscale department store (Scruggs, Vandervoort's, and Barneys) and a Sears. As time went on, a small enclosed portion with Stix, Baer, and Fuller was added (later Dillard's) and Vandervoort's became Famous-Barr.

It was enclosed (with a big food court), and even owned by Westfield, Westfield pulled out in the mid-2000s as the mall declined. Even though the mall was renamed Crestwood Court and a redevelopment plan was prepared, it kept dying. Despite half-hearted attempts like "ArtSpace", Dillard's and Macy's (formerly Famous-Barr) left. Sears announced it would close, shortly after; the mall itself was sealed.

Although the post office here closed in January 2013, LensCrafters remained until fall. Demolished 2017
