USS Kidd (Baton Rouge, Louisiana)

The USS Kidd is a Fletcher Class Destroyer which is armed with five 5-inch 127mm guns, capable of launching a 55 pound projectile a distance of 18,000 yards. (16 kilometers/10 miles).

One of the only survivng Fletcher class destoyers left in the world other include the USS Sullivans,USS Cassin Young, and the HNS Velos.
