This Hospital complex was constructed by Natiobal Projects Construction Corporation Limited, ( N. P. C. C. Limited ), A Govt. of India Enterprise, for Karnataka Health Systems Development Projects. It took a period of 1997 to 2000 for the entire construction and the same was inaugurated by Smt. Sonia Gandhi. The complex contains Out patient Block, Diaganostic Blaock, In Patient Block and accomodation for doctors and staff. This is the only hospital where facilities like Angeoplasty, open heart surgery etc. are available in Raichur.
