Bath Rugby Club (Bath)


Rugby has been on the Recreation Ground in Bath for over 100 years. They have now outgrown their ground. Rather than moving to an out of town location as some sports clubs have done in the past, Bath rugby club intends to take advantage of it's prime and historic location by remaining at the Rec and boosting the capacity of the ground. This has been met with opposition in some quarters, where the idea of further building on the Recreation Grounds will not be entertained. However, others argue that Bath and its rugby club go hand in hand, and so it is important that the club is able to remain at its present site.

That's only one side of the argument. The Rugby Club brings a lot of benefit to the City and is very well supported. it is by far and away the most popular sporting activity on the Rec and has been there for very many years.
