Afik (Hebrew: אֲפִיק) is an Israeli settlement and a kibbutz established in 1972 close to the old syrian village of Fiq. It was the first Jewish locale established in the Golan Heights after the Six-Day War. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the Golan Heights illegal under international law, while the Israeli government disputes this.
