Afrin Region, formerly Afrin Canton (Kurdish: Herêma Efrînê‎, Arabic: إقليم عفرين‎) was the westernmost of the three regions of the de facto autonomous Democratic Federation of Northern Syria (DFNS). It was declared autonomous on 29 January 2014 and consisted of Efrîn Canton. It was subdivided into 2 cantons and 5 areas. The administrative centre was Afrin. It is no longer existing since the Turkish invasion in early 2018.

  • yes Tel Rifat was a part of Efrin before announcing Shahba Canton. now its part of the New Canton "Shahba"
