Convent of Sisters of Charity
Owes its name to a famous priest from the Nivernais who lived in the seventh century.
He was buried in an Abbey built on this
hilltop.
In 1850, the Mother House of the Sisters of Charity of Nevers was built on these ruins.
This is the Convent where St Bernadette Soubirous lived and died as a Religious
Today it is a centre for pilgrims to the Espace Bernadette Sanctuary.
