The god's pooja milk next day its to change CURD, without any chemical reaction!

  • This is one of the famouse south indian shiva temple. Daily abhishekams will start around 12pm. It is also having another name called MATHIYAM CHOKKAR means the noon abhishekam is famous in this temple. Moveover the important thing which is being followed till now from olden days is that Devotees use to carry water from cauvery river which is 7miles from this temple and carry that in their heads and walk till the hill and walkup to the top of the hill and perform abhishekam. Moreover karthikai 1st day is famous and on that day diamond creedam will be decorated for the moolavar.Even it is famous for the giripradhakshinam on poornima days.

  • This is Rajkumar.R. I would like to add some more points about this temple. I usually visit this temple to attend Sivarathri pooja every year from my childhood. Whenever I see the Lord Shiva, I forget myself and feel happiness. Everybody should visit this time atleast once in their lifetime to feel what I have felt already!. Lord Shiva will bless you to reach your goals in your life.
