Nangla Maachi a migrant settlement which was built for 30 years by working class residents of Delhi.
In 2006 the municipality bulldozed Nangla Maachi displacing 30,000 people. Some residents from Nangla Maachi were resettled outside the city on small plots at Savda Ghevra, others recieved nothing. At the time of writing the land remains vacant.
