Formerly part of Baranggay San Vicente until the late 70's now forms part of Baranggay Nueva's jurisdiction after the proposal for the creation of new Baranggays in the City of San Pedro(formerly Municipality until 28 Dec 2013) was enacted into law upon holding the viability of the studies made by the locale's urban development council together with the private sector and the organization of residents in the area. The subdivision(1/8th portion of the estate) was named after the former owner of the estate Don Fernando J. Amante grandfather to incumbent Mayor Baby Cataquiz. The subdivision is home for the city's premiere Medical institution the Divine Mercy Hospital and hosts to major financial establishment branches e.g. Bank of the Philippine Islands, Metrobank and a growing number of other important establishments in the City of San Pedro.
