Cerro Chato IV Wind Farm (Santana do Livramento)

Cerro Chato IV Wind Farm is located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, about 22 km west of central Santana do Livramento and on the southwest side of several previous "Cerro Chato" wind farms (and north of Cerro dos Trindade).
Commissioned in 2014, it consisted of 5 IMPSA IWP-100-2000 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 10 MW.
On Dec 20, 2014, a storm with severe microbursts swept through the area and toppled 8 turbine towers at this and 3 other nearby wind farms, while damaging many others. As a result, the wind farm was left non-operational. In 2018, plans were announced (although with no time line) that they were hoping to reconstruct and restore the broken and damaged turbines.
