Airline History Museum (Kansas City-Wheeler Downtown Airport) will take delivery of ex-TWA Lockheed L-1011-385-1 TriStar N700TS (msn 193B-1066, ex TWA N31019) 26 April 2009 according to the Kansas City Star. Paul Pristo of Arizona is donating the jetliner to the museum. It will be converted to a 300-seat auditorium for school groups. The type has never landed at the downtown airport. TWA moved from the Downtown Airport (MKC) to Kansas City International Airport (MCI) in 1972 when the L-1011 was being introduced. The L-1011 is due to arrive at MKC at 1400 (2 p.m.) local time on April 26. It will be open for free tours on the same day.
