park, children's play area, nature reserve, interesting place, football pitch
There has a football pitch on this site since 1965. The playing fields sit in the middle of the Jenny's Well Local Nature Reserve and on National Cycle Routes 7 and 75. The football pitches are the home of St Mirren Youth Football Club; a voluntary organisation providing coaching and football activities for young people between the ages of 4 and 21 across Renfrewshire. The Club was founded in 1998 as St Mirren Football Club Boy's Club, by Tony Fitzpatrick, when he was manager of St Mirren FC. The Club has been a Scottish Football Association Quality Mark Partner Club since June 2009 and a Scottish Registered Charity since 2011. The main pitch measures 55m x 93m, with a sevens pitch measuring 35m x 50m and sizeable training areas out-with the playing pitches.
The Club has 250+ members and growing with 30+ coaches and volunteers.
