Zarqa Bridge and Zarqa village where taken from Daesh by Peshmerga and controlled by them in 2014.
Peshmerga left the control mainly in hands of ISF.

But Daesh could infiltrate the area again in June 2016.
Resulting in the dead 3 Peshmerga and 7 where wounded. Also 20 militants of Hashid al Shaabi and local police died during the surprise attack before the elements of Daesh that infiltrated the area where killed and the control over the area was restored by Peshmerga and ISF forces.
