  Encashing your NSC, and other fixed deposited is a very cumbersome and irritating. Your every post office refuses to issue cheques on maturity date and ask to come next day. There was a time in post offices the cheques were being used to issue within 15 to 30 minutes on presenting the matured certificates , now every post office harasses the certificate holders to come next day, if its Sunday or a Government holiday next day, the same is delayed one more day. A little more professionalism is needed at post offices and a little sensitivity towards the elders who still believe postal depts service.
