  The dream of 90s to construct a marriage hall (in the place of present pond in a dilapilated condition)shattered, but what made the temple and the thousand GSBS OF THIS HISTORIC PLACE to convert the pond into a dumping ground especially when the same is just in front of the temple? The 1000 local GSB and another 1000 non resident GSBs of kollam can't do anything about it, at least physically though not financially(all are reportedly middle class familymembers)? What about the active youthwing/gramasabhas,Bank employees retired during the last one decade,who were once the pillars of GSB community? Shall we to destroy the heritage of atleat 150 years,luckily still held privately by the community?? Whether any attempt was made to bring close the Non-resident GSBs(I mean the kollam originated GSBs but currently living outside kollam, outside kerala or outside india) seeking their involvement,to protent our heritage??????
