It is the site where Ashwamedha Yagya was supposed to have been performed by Lord Ram. However, a newer temple has come up on this site through the patronage of the king of Kulu, apparently about 3oo years back. Queen Ahilya Bai of Holkar, got it renovated later. The temple has the idols of Ram, Laxman, Bharat, Shatrughan, Sita, Guards-Jai-Vijay, Guru Vashishtha, King Sugreev and Hanuman located at Naya Ghat of Ayodhya. The temple is believed to be 300 years old and opens only once on Ekadashi (11th day) of Kartik month when a number of people visit this temple.
