The Pike National Forest comprises nearly 1,000,000 acres of public land located west of Colorado Springs. The Pikes Peak Ranger District protects and manages roughly 230, 000 acres of the Pike National Forest to ensure recreational opportunities, water, fish and wildlife, timber, grazing, minerals and scenic beauty for the American people.
