The north side of the park is now rebaptised: "Parcul Ioan Cuza" and has a statue of Cuza at the N-W entrance. Also there is a new and beautiful fountain (not shown on this old map) and a brand new playground for kids.

This is one of the most beautiful locations in the city of Bucuresti. It has been refurbished as George says to the North with new seating, a superb play area for children and a well-used bandstand where I have enjoyed music on many weekends. To the south the lake remains and the very large bar is still open where you can sit and watch the sunset over the lake. A great place to visit.

also a great place for jogging, with a full length of 3.2 Km (or aprox. 2 miles)
