Matawan was an unincorporated community that was once a village in section 31 of Byron Township, Waseca County, Minnesota. It is now effectively a ghost town.
The village had a station of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad from 1907-1979. A post office was established from 1907-72.
