Ratawal-Dhanaha road bridge over Gandak river was inaugurated by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on November 26 2013 . It is a long-awaiting demand of people of the area and now it is fulfilled.

The bridge will serve four blocks-Thakarha, Bhitaha, Madhubani and Piparasi-residing on the right bank of the river Gandak. These blocks, bifurcated by the Gandak, were not directly connected to Bagaha sub-division as well as West Champaran district headquarters of Bettiah.
