The Vidyalaya was commenced on 5th June 2013, for the new academic session 2013-2014, this year class X started in our Vidyalaya with cooperation of Kendra and Zilla Parishad. Thereafter General Body meeting was held at the office of the Adhyaksha Zilla Parishad, Port Blair, South Andaman. It was decided in the meeting beside the other issues related to the Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout to start admission for KG and Class – I to Class – IX according to the existing vacancy and it was completed on 24th June 2013 for KG Classes and on 2nd July 2013 for Pre-Primary accordingly. At present there are two sections for KG and each section has 27 and 28 students respectively. During the new academic session total 55 new admissions was given to Class I to Class IX. Our Vidyalaya has followed the rules and regulations as per the norms of RTE from the present academic session 2013-2014.
On 4th July 2013 we carried out the Vidyaarambh ceremony for KG Class and on the same day we observed Swamiji’s Samadhi Diwas. On 5th July 2013 Mananiya Bala Krishnaji, General Secretary Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari and Shri. Radha Krishnaji, Secretary Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, visited our Vidyalaya and interacted with the teachers and students. Zilla Parishad has handover two newly constructed class rooms out of four on 11th July 2013.
On 22nd July 2013, we observed Guru Purnima; speech on the importance of the day was delivered by the teachers beside the guru songs. The students were facilitated on the day for scoring A1 grade in the last final examination (Academic Session 2012-2013).
