Abutment of the Potomac Aqueduct Bridge. The bridge first carried the Alexandria Canal over the Potomac. The bridge, which later carried trolleys of the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad, pedestrians and automobiles, was demolished after construction of the Key Bridge.
