This is the 500 sq.m. Quezon-Avanceña house originally located at 45 Gilmore Street, New Manila, Quezon City.
It is a 2-storey beige & white structure done in neo-classical American architecture which was originally built & acquired by Pres. Manuel L. Quezon in 1927 after he was diagnosed with tuberculosis.
It served as a weekend vacation house of the Quezon family. it was also the place where Pres. Manuel L. Quezon stayed when he became ill.
The Philippine National Red Cross was established by Doña Aurora Quezon right at its living room.

The reconstruction and restoration of the Quezon Heritage House was made possible through an agreement signed by the Quezon City government and the Quezon heirs.
Mayor Herbert Bautista, with representatives of the Zenara Holdings Corp. which is the absolute owners of the house, signed the deed of donation to formalize the donation of the house to the Quezon City government with a budget of Php 9.943 million for the transfer & reconstruction of the house.
The new foundation of the house was laid early May, 2013 and in April, the original structure in Gilmore was disassembled, its parts carefully removed to be used for restoration. The process of disassembling the 90-year old house was finally completed in June, 2013.
The family even donated some furniture and fixtures of the house to be used in the reconstructed house. These include an antique glass cabinet, a brown wooden cabinet, a marble dresser, an antique bed with canopy and headboard.
