Klamath Wildlife Area, Miller Island Unit

Permanent and seasonal wetlands, "prime staging area in the late winter and early spring for migrating Ross's, Snow, and White-front Geese." It is an excellent location for birders and has a 2.5 mi. pedestrian trail. The area covers 2,400 acres and includes some cultivated land under private ownership. Other species to look for are resident Canada geese and several duck and raptor species, bald eagles and sand hill cranes. Beautiful, peaceful getaway for locals and tourists.

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife manages the Miller Island unit.
