The Camp Hill Estate was built in 1882 by John R. Fell for his bride, Sarah Drexel, daughter of A.J. Drexel. The estate was built on the summit of Camp Hill which is named for the revolutionary war american encampment and lookout. When John Fell died,Sarah, married Alexander Van Renssalaer, whose family is known for founding The Renssalaer Institute. They continued to use the estate until their deaths. The estate remained vacant till the 1950's Now known as WEC Castle, it is owned by WEC International.
