  I stayed at the Montien Hotel on my second visit to Thailand, in 1988. It's got a wonderful view of the ocean, a great pool, a beautiful lobby (partially outside) and it's just a step out the back to the fabulous beach. I won my second trip there on a TV contest. (See the Bangkok Montien for the whole story- not the Montien Riverside, the one near downtown.)
