  My greatest childhood memory of Dusserah is around Calcutta Kali Maya brought here by Singh Garu. Sakthi Patam would come out in all it's majesty and it would be the greatest show of fervour and awe to watch. Totally awe inspiring and fills the devotees in greatest ecstasy. The carriers of Sakthi Patam adorned in the front by Kali Matha in all her fiery roopam and rear by Sri Anjaneya Swamy holding Gada in one hand and Sanjeevani Parvatham in the other in all his divine radiance are simply beyond words. The bearer would be in black saree with red border, wear a huge fiery dark mask with a very long blood-dripping tongue. He would wear brass gajjelu, one kathi with nimmakaya in the left hand and the rope drawn from top of the Sakthi Patam terminating in a piece of human skull in the right hand. Both Kalika Devi and Anjaneya Swamy will be adorned with huge garlands. Then there are dappulu to build up the thrill and add rythm to the chindu of the carrier. We are truly blessed to witness the unique Edepalli Sakthi Patam.

  I love shkati gudi krishna gari temple and patam..kalikadevi picture is excellently drawn and shape of patam is so nice. Krishna garu drwas the kalikamata picture ,paints by is own..he was give is own blood to kalikadevi .it was verya great thing..but Krishna garu is RIP ..miss u so much krishna garu ..
