Brownstown (not to be confused with the much larger Brownstown in Jackson County, Indiana) is an extremely small community at a bend in Brownstown Road in Sterling Township, Crawford County, Indiana as the road connects to Zoo Road, Belcher Road, and Jericho Road. It is formally known as Mount Prospect, and was the Crawford County seat for a short period of time prior to the 1840s.
