Cove Formed By Tin Mine Collapse

This new cove near Pantai Remis was the result of the collapse of the embankment wall of an open cast tin mine which allowed the entire mine to be flooded with seawater. This incident happened on October 21, 1993 and is a well-known case study for landslides and erosion.
