house, NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, 1820s construction
Historic house located on the grounds of the National Zoo. Built in 1827, the house was acquired in poor condition by the zoo in 1889. They renovated the house and used it until 1988, when it was vacated. Although still owned by the zoo, the house is empty and has fallen into disrepair.
